Why is this so? Because although we boast about "mateship", thtat's all it is a boast. Textiles went offshore, no one cared, it wasn't me. White goods went offshore, no one cared, it wasn't me. The boot &shoe industry went offshore, no one cared it wasn't me, and so it went on. By the time it was me, it was too late. Governments don't destroy our way of life and culture, public apathy does.
