Widebay Technology to the Rescue!
As most know, I’m a mac user, and have been ever since apple announced the intel based macs, and video ipods. As much as being in a design based industry leads people to believe I would use Mac at work, I am in fact a windows user at work.
The choice to use windows at work is simply because of compatibility. As much as using a mac would be nice, in a work environment, everything needs to be able to communicate easily. My primary workstation needs to be able to talk to the network servers easily, and to other devices, such as my PDA, phone etc.
When I’m at home however, I choose what I like. As soon as the Macbooks were announced, I jumped on board and got myself a nice pretty white Macbook. However, recently I’ve been getting frustrated with the minimal 60 gig drive. I’ve had the local mac repairer; from Wide Bay Technology install a 250 gig drive. To make things even easier, I got Richard to clone the smaller drive, and drop the contents of my small drive back onto the new drive. Basically, this allowed me to “plug and play” upgrade my hard drive, which was one of the best things ever.
Also, whilst in the mood of Mac repairs, I also got Richard to see if we could install a new 30gb ipod hard drive to my original Video iPod.

The reason behind this was, because I had rested a camera case on the iPod, little did I realise that the case had magnets inside it, so that wrecked the drive inside the ipod. So after a $100 new hard drive from eBay, and a bit of labour from Richard, we got the iPod up and running. Now I have a macbook with 1gb ram, and a 250gb drive, along with 2 video ipods! I’m the happiest a mac fan boy could be, without having a Macbook Pro, Or Mac Pro! If you need Computer Repairs in Hervey Bay, give Widebay Technology a Call. I Highly recommend them. Richard knows his stuff, no Bull- just straight to the point!
