It Pays to check at Australia Post

Australia Post, yes, it’s where we get our mail from. It’s also where you can buy some technologies. I remember years ago I went to pic up a NEC N412i mobile phone from the post office once, and while I was waiting to collect my phone, I saw them for sale brand new, about $100 cheaper than the RRP.

Australia PostSo just recently I was looking for another external HDD (about my 8th) and I was told by a Hervey Bay computer repair business that I should check out Australia Post. Went up, saw a 500gb external firewire drive for $179 inc GST! Bargin! so I grabbed one, its almost cheaper than my wholesale price!

Now I have a dedicated 500gb external drive sitting at home that I can use with my Leopard macbook with TimeMachine. You just never know where you’ll find a good deal!

Ben, my mobile is so old I have to insert a handle and wind it up before I make a call. As a result I use it very little. Every time I go to update, either a NEW supa model comes out or a NEW problem with our Australian system comes to light. So in an emergency I just keep winding.

Suggestion to all mobile phone makers, a universal connection point or a free adaptor plug with all purchases. Car makers install a connection point for phones to replace cigarette lighters, sound to come through the radio speakers, Cost would be minimual. When in black-spot stand on roof of car with flags and practice semaphore.
