Scholar to Schoolie…

schooliesIts that time of year again, all the Qld students (And Australia Wide) have now completed year 12, and transform from the well, or good, or ok behaved young adults to feral, loud mouthed hooligans. Schoolies, for international readers is where Australian year 12 (last grade of High school) go to popular coastal areas, such as the Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast, etc - where they binge drink alcohol, get sick and then wake up and do it all over again.

Granted, only 12 months ago I was down there, however you’d never see me doing anything de-picted in the image to the right.I’ve been told that I turned 30 when I turned 13 - skipping the whole teenage fad. Dammn young people…My Experience of Schoolies ‘06 was staying at an expensive motel where there were no teenagers in site!

When I traveled outside my resort, I went to other apartments where there were swarms of loud, roudy teenagers. Buildings full of rubbish, and a strong stench of vomit and rubbish. Really, I could have been anywhere in the world, not a nice 4 star resort.

  2. Hi Ben,
Having read Bianca’s post. It seems you really know how to win friends and influence people! Do you practice, or does it just come naturally?

  5. And what would the problem of bagging people out be? If you can’t take criticism for your actions, then you need to rethink why you’re doing it.
