New Liberal Leadership.. About Time

Well it’s been a painful 9 months since the new Labour Federal Government won the election last year. It was a no brainer that Rudd and Labour would win. John Howard, although one of the best PM’s in Australian history (IMO), ran the Liberals right into the ground and dug quite deep. So far down that for the last 9 months the Australian liberal party, and as if the party didn’t have enough work to do, the leadership of Dr. Brendan Nelson didn’t help.

As far as statistics go, Dr Nelson has had some of the worst around, with the lowest approval ratings in something like 17 years, and he hadn’t won over anyone in the 9 months with his approval ratings barely fluctuating.

Although I don’t know a lot about Malcolm Turnbull’s past or history, the brief reading I did on Wikipedia  he is well educated and has great experience in business, being referred to the richest politician in Australia. Further to his education and past experience, the way he speaks and presents himself - he appears to be something that the liberal party will do well having as the leader.

    G’day Ben,
You’r right this country needs good leadership
and I wish Malcolm well. Sad to say the Liberal party did not give Brendan much support. I note
all the things party members are saying about
Malcolm, they were saying about Brendan a
    few months ago!
As to John Howard, Ben I believe he will go down in history as the most divisive PM Australia ever had. Any leader who divides their nation, is not a good leader.
